Testimonials: Ontario Solar Academy
I will recommend to all Premier Solar Dealers to attend your training. I found it invaluable. My company has staff that will be doing the installs and I will be sending some of my staff for training. I will be there for the April event!!Neil Kromhout, Dunnville, ON
Owner, EnerMin SolarAs a recent graduate of level one of the Ontario Solar Academy program I encourage anyone that is serious about entering the solar industry to take this course. As a licensed master electrician in the Province of Ontario I found the course very informative and rewarding. There are many facets of a solar PV installation that are new to any installer licensed electrician or not, and the knowledge gained by this introductory course would be a benefit to anyone. I strongly recommend that anyone that is not from the electrical industry take this course prior to doing any PV installations as the risks and hazards present are far too great to attempt an install in this filed without proper training.Ray Boldt, Carp, ON
Vice President, Boldt Theile Inc.The government’s solar initiative has opened a world of opportunity for many entrepreneurs in Ontario. The OSA course is a critical first step in providing the assurance the public needs from industry professionals that their products and services are of the highest quality. These courses should be mandatory before anyone is allowed within three feet of a solar panel.Robert Young, Pointe-Claire, QC

In any training, you have to teach at everyone’s level to be fair, but this can be under-stimulating for some if not managed well. The excellent part of the solar panel training and design course was Sean’s ability to simplify the basic electrical and mathematical content while keeping everyone engaged (even the experts). When the week was over and everyone had gone home, the information continued to flow, and that is what people need to hear. It starts with the five-day course, but that is only the beginning. The most important thing that I learned was knowledge of PV solar energy, design and implementation. The installation methods and introduction to various suppliers and industry contacts were also very important. With my training, I've launched two installation businesses (one construction-related the other electrical). I would recommend that anyone looking to break into solar should take this installation class. The tools you acquire become valuable assets in this exciting industry.
Luciano DiLeonardo, Hamilton, ONSolarHarvest Power Corporation LtdI enjoyed the class, and I must say that I was impressed with how much the students had learned in such a short period. Best wishes for your new facility, and looking forward to future collaboration. James Goodnight, Vienna, VA

However, Dr. Sean White, was not only extremely knowledgeable, but very friendly, fluent, and easy to understand. At the end of the seminar I was empowered; ready to speak the language of photovoltaics. One week after the seminar I applied for a design drafting position at a leading solar company. I got the job! I attribute my success to the style and informative lectures of Dr. Sean White.IHO, Oakland, CAThanks for your teaching of my solar class. I felt like you did a good job.
